About Gurdwara

The word ‘gurdwara’ simply means ‘door to the guru’ or ‘house of the guru’. So gurdwara is the place of communal worship for the Sikhs. Gurdwara holds a very special place in a Sikh’s life and it’s the central spiritual-social institution of the community. Everyone is welcome to gurdwara as long as one follows basic gurdwara protocol.
